Head of Engineering

Oats Overnight grew from our founder's kitchen to become one of the fastest-growing DTC companies in Arizona by pursuing a vision of providing healthy & convenient breakfast alternatives. We’re looking for a full-time head of software engineering to help shape and execute our vision of what we want Oats Overnight to be - primarily from a technical standpoint. What You Will Be Doing Building features & applications both for users and the Oats Overnight team Creating a tech roadmap Testing and optimization (emphasis on optimizing site speed) Website maintenance Cross collaboration with contracted developers Working in a team environment with nontechnical team mates Vendor management QA/troubleshooting/fixing bugs Working with data on a high level Creating and perfecting UIs Required A willingness to make mistakes. Creativity. We’re aspiring to not just be another Ecommerce DTC brand but to be a true DTC disruptor and constantly innovate. Deep compassion for the customer experience. B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience 3 + years of front-end development experience is a must - (full stack experience preferred) Experience working with other developers’ inherited code that isn’t very good (tech debt) Experience working with advanced data structures HTML/CSS Javascript/React/Vue Git / Github Ruby on Rails Adept at working with others - both with technical and nontechnical experience Bonus skills SQL Firebase/Netlify Experience working in Klaviyo and Shipstation Experience working with subscription services Experience working in Shopify, Shopify Plus, and/or Recharge What's In It for You Competitive Salary Stock Options Medical, dental and vision insurance Unlimited PTO As much Oats Overnight as you can eat!
